International Advisory Council Meeting International Advisory Council approved a new concept of Sechenov University and creation of a new laboratory.
The second meeting of the International Advisory Council (IAC) was held at Sechenov University on April 6, 2017. Meeting agenda of the meeting was as follows:
1. to approve a new concept of Sechenov University;
2. to listen to the report of the head of the Laboratory of Psychiatric Neurobiology Prof. Klaus-Peter Lesch, a winner of the previous contest for creation a new scientific & educational laboratory at Sechenov University
3. to choose the winner of the contest for the creation of a new international scientific& educational laboratory

Sechenov University's rector, Prof. Petr V. Glybochko introduced a new member of the IAC, Sir John Temple (Liverpool University Medical School, UK).

The meeting was attended by the following IAC members:

1.Friedrich C. Luft, director of the Experimental and Clinical Research Center (ECRC) of the Charite Medical Faculty and The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine, Berlin, Germany;
2.Roman A. Zubarev,  Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Professor of Medical Proteomics, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden;
3.Youngsuk Chi, President of the International Publishers Association “Elsevier”, the Netherlands;
4.Jeffrey L. Newton, Vice President, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA;
5.Rudolf  Valenta, member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Professor for Allergology at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria;
6.Teruhito Mochizuki, Chairman Department of Radiology, Ehime University, School of Medicine, Ehime, Japan;
7.Sir John Graham Temple,  Elected President of the British Medical Association, Ex-president of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.

The Chairman of the second IAC meeting became Professor Friedrich Luft.
